The average Viking was around 5’7” tall and weighed between 160-180 lbs. They had long, flowing hair which they often wore in a ponytail or braids. Vikings typically had blue or green eyes, and fair skin. They were clean shaven, except for during the winter months when they would let their beards grow out to keep their face warm.
Viking clothes were made of wool, linen, and animal skin. They wore tunics and trousers with belts and boots. During the colder months, they would wear furs and cloaks to keep warm. Viking men also wore necklaces made of beads or metal as well as arm rings and wristbands.
Viking women wore long dresses with sleeves that reached their wrists. They belted the dress at the waist and sometimes wore a cloak over it for added warmth. Viking women also wore jewelry including necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings.
